I'm standing in line at the Richardson Tax Office (which is not long at all by the way) in order to renew my vehicle registration. I am really hungry and already thinking about my lunch plans, so I thought future Richardson area home buyers might appreciate a list of some of the best burger joints in or near town.

QUICK 2015 UPDATE:
Haystack is burger Glory! It makes me a better man.- http://www.haystackburgers.com
Shady's is pretty good too.
Del's Hamburgers is true hamburger glory! Just off Main Street in old down town Richardson, they have frosted mugs and great root beer to go along with amazing burgers, fries and killer onion rings.
Burger Island is just west of Custer on Arapaho and is life changing. Burgers of all kind, and they are HUGE!
Twisted Root is in East Side on the South East corner of 75 Central and Campbell Rd. They have a huge menu of exotic burgers including buffalo and a really fun atmosphere. Good fried pickles too.
Griff's is just across the line into Garland, but who cares because they have phenomenal burgers, onion rings, fries and even have a Galaga arcade game in the dining room. Win! Also, they have Blue Bell ice cream for floats and shakes. Don't judge me for dreaming about this place.
On the other side of town, just across Coit in North Dallas is Burger House. The french fries at Burger House on Campbell Road (NW corner at Coit) will cure what ails you. Their burgers and even other menu items are great, but their unique spice rub sprinkled all over your french fries will change the way you feel about world peace. It may be possible.
If you like living near great food and enjoy a burger joint with years of stories to tell, call us. We will have a burger and talk about your options! I'm already out of the tax office (10 minutes max,) so I'm off to eat.
Which burger place is your favorite?
