I'm about to say / write something stupid.

Now, WAIT before you delete this. It may be encouraging to you.

My favorite football team lost a big game this weekend. I sat in the stands getting rained on in the cold and watched my beloved Baylor Bears get beat by a very good OU team. Aside from the actual football implications, it was an important moment. I'm a pretty big fan. My wife and I attended Baylor for undergrad and graduate school and we have had season tickets to football games since our team was struggling to win a single conference game. And, as some of you may know, we end every meeting at the office with a reverent "Sic Em Bears."

Now, in all seriousness, the end of an undefeated streak can make a fan crazy, but this one served as a reminder to me of all of the wonderful things I have to be thankful for. Not the least of which is an 8-1 football season still. I'm reminded at times like this to be grateful daily. Not just after a loss, whether that be in some silly sports event or a major life moment, but in the margin of my life. In the passing moments, the commutes, the white space on my calendar, I have so much to be thankful for.

Next week, in honor of Thanksgiving, I'll be emailing you a list. It will simply be a list of all of the things for which I am grateful. I'll let you in on the idea early. I want to ask you to send me your list. The list of things that you are grateful for. I hope you'll think about it this week and participate. I'd like to celebrate with you.

Have a wonderful week,

Todd Tramonte
