Merry Christmas!
Every year, I wait and I wait until the appropriate time to start saying, "Merry Christmas." It is definitely time. I just wanted to share this quick thought with you guys as our goal is to consistently bring expertise and encouragement into your world.
Be the person that says Merry Christmas! Be the person who loves this time of year because it brings folks together and inspires us to love others well. Whether you celebrate the birth of Christ or not, see these next few weeks as a chance to build the habit of being a fun, positive encourager just a little bit stronger. Then, carry that ever growing habit through all of 2013. I'm willing to acknowledge that I'm a little weird, but I like to offer high fives to retail clerks and drive through workers. I like to pause after saying "how are you," and actually wait for an answer. People are blown away that I take two seconds to care and it makes me feel great to brighten their day. Here is a smart trick too. When you say, " What's up," and someone replies with "not much" try saying, "I don't believe that. What is a big goal of yours right now?" People will open up and share their dreams and passions with you. I love it!
