Remember this number: 8.7%
Have you begun to shut down the engines on 2015 and sort of raise your eyes from the tasks at hand to look forward?
Good.
... and bad.
Do that for a few minutes and begin to think about what you want and need to make happen next year. BUT, then get back to work! I don't just mean "work" work, but the work of improving your impact. Work on your faith, your relationships, your health, your skills, your ability and commitment to rest. Let's not overlook the "work" work though. I'm fairly certain that you get paid or want to get paid all twelve months of the year and finishing strong is important.
I've found that December tends to be a frustrating time of recognition that you didn't hit your goals for the previous year or maybe that you didn't even have any goals the previous year. That, or it can be a celebration of a wonderful year filled with both challenges and successes.
Either way, today is 11/30 and there is still a good 8.7% of the year left to create your dreams, serve a friend or stranger, increase your skill, make a difference or... you know... mail it in. Don't mail it in.
Our company goal for 2016 is to have each and every friend, past client and advocate of ours introduce us or refer us to at least one friend, family member, co-worker or neighbor who wants to sell, buy or invest in a home. So, we started working really hard on that goal last week. We want to use all 100% of this year well so we can give our very best to our clients in the next year.
Have a truly wonderful Christmas season,
Todd
