This time of year (between Mother's Day and Father's Day) I'm always thinking about the influence my parents have been on me. You see, it is their fault!
Blame them that I'm a talker, a bit of a know it all, hyper competitive, obsessively curious, tenacious, confident, occasionally self conscious, big picture thinker with mildly OCD like detail focus with no real need for breakfast, but an obsession with the other three meals (yes there is a 4th.) Look to them to explain my inclination to push through struggles and persevere yet to become emotional in only one possible scenario: defending my family! They are the reason I'm nearly unemployable yet passionate about being an employer.
They are the world-class salesman and elementary school teacher that gave me my passion for the business of sales and teaching.
And, I COULDN'T BE MORE THANKFUL FOR THEM!

P.S. For the folks in the DFW area, please consider bringing by a big bag of food for kids who are finding it hard to get a good meal this summer. We set a goal to donate 250 pounds to the North Texas Food Bank to serve kids who usually depend on school breakfast and lunch for decent nourishment throughout the year.
