Continuing where the last post left off, laziness has set in.
So, how does a home buyer in the Richardson area actually find a house? Well, after chosing a top notch real estate team, you'll want to get all of your ducks in a row. You'll want to be fully pre-approved for a loan. Yes, credit pulled and everything. You'll want to be completely comfortable making an offer as soon as you see the house you love and you'll need to be prepared to make a very attractive offer. By very attractive, I don't mean it has to be a high dollar amount. There are many terms that can cause an offer to appear very very attractive that do not deal with dollars.
Also, understanding that housing markets are always changing is important. What is available today may not be available tomorrow and the reverse is always true. But, the risk is waiting on a worse market with fewer opportunities. Again, a great real estate agent can help you navigate these waters. A bad agent can make your life miserable.
These market trends are true for most surrounding areas as well. Lake Highlands, Plano, North Dallas and most of Garland are in similar market conditions.
