I have to admit to you that until I was about 23, I never even thought twice about why the common symbols for Easter are bunnies and eggs. Bunnies definitely don't lay eggs. I was joking with my nephew about this over the weekend and he couldn't get over how ridiculous this is.
I did some research and there are a few reasons for the symbols, but honestly that isn't my point today.
What else have you been accepting as sensible in your life that may need a slight adjustment in perspective or understanding? I'll give you a very quick example.
I've always wanted to stay in touch with my friends and past clients, but never wanted to pester for referrals. Nobody wants to be chased around the holiday party by the Realtor right? However, I recently learned that a very good long time client of mine was helping several friends relocate to another area and he didn't know that I could help.
I had accepted that it was common knowledge that I could help any friend, family member or co-worker make the best real estate and housing choices all over the country. I was wrong.
Take five today to breath and think deeply about what you are accepting as fact, truth or common knowledge that may be lacking, distorted or a distant version of an original idea and let me know what you come up with.
Have an amazing week,
