Today, I'm inviting you to join me in considering the value of your friendships.
Each year, a group of my buddies from college get together to go "camping." I put that in quotes because years ago it was really camping and now we rent a very nice house on tons of land and it is potentially too comfortable. The struggle is real.
Also each year, I'm reminded of how valuable true friendships are. I leave this event every year thankful for the friends I see almost daily and also quite thankful for the guys I only get to see the last weekend in February each year. I'm challenged to be a better husband, a better dad, a better business owner, a better neighbor and of course friend. I'm reminded of just how dumb boys/men get when in large numbers without females present to impress or care for.
I'm reminded of how dangerous, risky, boring and fearful life would be alone.
I just want to encourage you to be grateful for the friendships you have, the ones that you are cultivating now and even, maybe especially, those that seem to be at risk of drifting away. Make a call or write an email to rekindle an old friendship or to keep one intact. Get the old gang back together for a night, a weekend or a trip.
If you are feeling alone in the world, know that you are not. There are folks who care deeply for you, want what is best for you and would love to get to know you more. Let us know if we can ever help.
P.S. Our team here at the office are great friends and we are looking for 3 new friends / team members in the next 60 days or so. If you or a friend, co-worker or neighbor are considering a career in real estate, grab your phone right now and call 972.863.2064 or visit www.DallasHomeRealty.
