I have a quick real estate tip for you.
Use the cheap Air Conditioner / Furnace filters and just change them out every month. <- that link doesn't make me any money, but it does help raise money for Young Life (a Christian outreach ministry to kids that I deeply believe in) and is only one example of good affordable filters.
Many people spend extra money on high end filters that are marketed as better for folks with allergies or children etc. The reality is that these filters cause unnecessary strain on the unit. You may be able to leave it in there for another few weeks or so, but you also may be forcing your AC unit to work harder than it should therefore limiting the life of your very expensive heating and air conditioning system.
